Directions
Metro Parks:
Battelle-Darby Creek: From I-270 take I-70 west to the
Hilliard/Rome exit (91a), go towards New Rome and travel south to West
Broad Street. Turn right onto Broad Street (U.S. 40) and travel approximately
4 miles to Darby Creek Drive. Turn left on Darby Creek Drive and proceed 3
miles. The main park entrance is on the right.
Blendon Woods: From I-270
(NE portion of the loop), take State Route 161 exit (30B) toward New Albany
onto E. Dublin-Granville Road. Go 1.6 miles then take the Little Turtle Way
exit and turn right. Go to Old State Route 161 and turn right. Entrance is 1/2
mile on left.
Camp Lazarus: To reach Camp Lazarus, follow Route 23 north from Columbus
towards Delaware. Nine miles north of I-270 on the left
side of the highway, just north of the Delaware Area Career Center. Camp
is two miles south of Delaware.
Chief Logan Reservation:
From Cincinnati, take I-71 North to US 35 East
From Columbus and north, take US-23 South to US-35 East.
From Dayton, take US 35 East,
Go roughly 20 miles past Chillicothe, and exit (left) onto Bronx Corners Road. This will be the second road that has a sign indicating a boy scout camp coming from the west. Go approximately ½ mile and turn right onto Boy Scout Road. Once on Boy Scout Road, travel 2 ½ miles, and the road ends at John W. Barbee Road. Turn left onto John W. Barbee Road and proceed 1.2 miles to a hairpin turn. The road will go from paved, to semi-paved, to dirt and back to semi-paved. Stay to the right through the hairpin, and cautiously proceed another 1 ½ miles to the camp gateway. The parking lot is straight ahead past the Ranger’s residence.
Camp Falling Rock (lower
portion)
From Columbus, take I-70 East
toward Wheeling. Take (exit
126) for OH-37, turning left on Lancaster Rd SW/OH-37 and go for about 8 miles. Merge onto OH-16 E via the ramp to Newark,
and go for about 7 miles. Take the Cedar Street/OH-79N exit, turning left onto
OH-79N and go for about 10 miles. Turn
Left on Rocky Fork Road NE, and go for just less than a mile. Turn left on to Houdeshell
Road NE for a half mile and start looking for the Camp Falling Rock signs. At the sign there will be a fork, with
indications for summer and winter entrances.
NPCs and PCs in the upper building, use the Summer entrance and follow the signs to
the left. Carts from the camp can be
used to take gear to the Scoutmaster and Kiwani
lodges.
PCs staying at the Tavern,
Adirondacks or tent camping should use the Winter
entrance, following the sign to the right.
Then, there will be another sign marking where to turn to the left, and
there will be another turn to the left almost immediately.
Do not bring vehicles to
the buildings.
